Don’t miss the garden tours on Sat., July 21

The Gardening Guru: Jeanne Berman

The garden tours continue this month. On Saturday, 7/21, we will meet at 10:30 a.m. in my front garden at 408 Gilmoure Dr. After a short discussion, we will walk to 10132 Hereford Pl. where John Evanoff will be our garden host.

Earlier this year we were very lucky to have our neighbors let us into their gardens for some great learning experiences. We have met a neighbor who has an orchard in her front yard! Eight fruit trees along her walkway and berries galore down the side of her yard and her vegetables look as though they are growing strong. Another neighbor across the street who has three rain barrels, NEVER has to turn her water hose on in the summertime drought!

South Four Corners Community Yard Sale to be held on April 21

That’s right we are putting the popular neighborhood yard sale back on the calendar!

The sale will be held on April 21 from 8-11a.m. and we’re making it really easy for you. We ask that each neighbor set up in their own yard or coordinate with your neighbor and host in their yard. The association will advertise online and in local newspapers and will post signs at all entrances to the community.  We encourage each street to make sure there is a sign at the end of their block directing traffic to their sale. We will also provide a drop off location in the neighborhood after the sale for those wanting to donate any unsold items to charity and we’ll have the charity pick up on Monday.

Check out some great tips for a successful yard sale.
