- Friends of Sligo Creek (FOSC) is a local nonprofit community organization dedicated to protecting, improving, and appreciating the ecological health of Sligo Creek Park and its surrounding watershed. - As part of Montgomery County’s Open Parkways initiative, Sligo Creek Parkway is closed to motor vehicles Friday through Sunday, giving pedestrians and bicyclists full road access from University Boulevard to Forest Glen Road.
