The snow is coming and the community is hosting it’s annual SFCCA “Build a Snowman” contest.
We hope many of you will get out this weekend and enjoy the winter wonderland and build the best snowman with neighbors and friends. Don’t forget to snap a photo and e-mail it to me at SFCCAEditor@gmail.com.
In a future newsletter, and at an upcoming meeting, we will announce the winners in the following categories: Biggest Snowman, Most Creative Snowman and Best Snowman Built by Kids Under 10. Winners will receive a special prize from a local business.
Enjoy and don’t forget the hot cocoa when you come back in the house!

Tree lighting – Saturday, December 3 at 5 p.m.
Our next meeting, November 16, 2016 will feature Officer Joy Patil speaking about trends, prevention and the Citizen’s Academy.
Our next community meeting, to be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, September 21, at the Schweinhaut Senior Center on Forest Glen Road, will feature guest speaker Kit Gage, President of the Friends of Sligo Creek (FOSC)
Join us for the to be held on Oct. 25th at 4p.m. The parade will leave a few minutes after 4p.m. from the South Four Corners Park (Dallas and Forest Glen) walk up Portland make a right at Lanark Way and back down Dallas Avenue After the parade we’ll return to the park and enjoy some sweet treats.
We had such a great turn out last year.
We hope to see lots of ghosts, pirates, princesses, witches and super hero’s again this year.
Join your neighbors August 2nd from 7 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the 37th annual National Night Out event at South Four Corners Park on Forest Glen Road.
