Annual SFCCA “Build a Snowman” contest

snowman15_1554883iThe snow is coming and the community is hosting it’s annual SFCCA “Build a Snowman” contest.

We hope many of you will get out this weekend and enjoy the winter wonderland and  build the best snowman with neighbors and friends. Don’t forget to snap a photo and e-mail it to me at SFCCAEditor@gmail.com.

In a future newsletter, and at an upcoming meeting, we will announce the winners in the following categories: Biggest Snowman, Most Creative Snowman and Best Snowman Built by Kids Under 10. Winners will receive a special prize from a local business.

Enjoy and don’t forget the hot cocoa when you come back in the house!

Upcoming November SFCCA Meeting

“Officer Patil of the Montgomery County Police, will be our guest speaker on Monday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m at the Schweinhaut Senior Center on Forest Glen Road.  Please come to the meeting as she will address the crime trends in our area, best practices to prevent and discourage crime in our neighborhood, the stalker in North Four Corners, and the Citizens’ Academy.

Save the Date – Annual Halloween Parade – October 25

SFC Halloween Parade Photo DSC_0123Join us for the  to be held on Oct. 25th at 4p.m. The parade will leave a few minutes after 4p.m. from the South Four Corners Park (Dallas and Forest Glen) walk up Portland make a right at Lanark Way and back down Dallas Avenue After the parade we’ll return to the park and enjoy some sweet treats.

We had such a great turn out last year.

We hope to see lots of ghosts, pirates, princesses, witches and super hero’s again this year.

Annual Ice Cream Social will be held Sat., August 29

Mark your calendars and join your neighbors for our annual ice cream social hosted by the South Four Corners Citizens Association.

Time: 3-4:30pm

Location: South Four Corners Park (Forest Glen Rd.)

Two upcoming SFCCA events mentioned in the recent community newsletter were listed with the wrong dates.  Here are the correct dates for those events:
